Visa Floats Program to Enable Creators Expand Their NFT Potentials

The California-based payment services provider, Visa Inc, has launched a program aimed at helping artists, musicians, and designers to mention a few, with skills in creating virtual arts to help in promoting their businesses with non-fungible tokens (NFT). According to the official blog of the firm, the name of the program is tagged Visa Creator Program.

Beyond being a beautiful work of art that heralds the attention of digital art lovers, NFTs have become a veritable source of income for their creators, from musicians to artists to fashion designers and to developers. According to the blog post, the market size of the virtual piece of art industry currently sits at $100 billion.

The Visa Creator Program will ensure that content creators in music, art, fashion and the filming industry with the desire to digitalize their work into NFTs will have all it takes to achieve their dreams.

The program is designed to run in cycles, and a group of NFT entrepreneurs will be trained in turn at gaining a full understanding of the technologies as well as the platforms peculiar to the non-fungible token industry.

The head of the crypto for Visa, Cuy Sheffield said in the report that, non-fungible tokens are powerful forces in enabling digital creators to expand their economy, adding that Visa has been studying the industry of the digital asset class with its promising potential for some time now, stating further that, “through the Visa Creator Program, we want to help this new breed of small and micro businesses tap into new mediums for digital commerce.”

The creative program has onboarded a renowned digital art creator, Micah Johnson, an ex-pro athlete. Johnson is the brain behind the popular NFT named Aku, a digital collection that inspires black people to reach for the stars and achieve their dreams.

Acknowledging his support for the program in a YouTube video attached to the report, he said, “it’s really a powerful statement to see such a major brand paying attention to what we are doing in the community. This launching of the program specifically designed for creators is really powerful, you know, I actually believe that we are designed to be candles to light another candle.”
