BAYC Featured in Eminem and Snoop Dogg’s New Video

Popular American rap artists Eminem and Snoop Dogg have teamed up to release a music video that features their Bored Apes Yacht Club (BAYC) Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The song titled “From the D 2 the LBC” premiered at the ongoing NFT event in New York.

Eminem in a tweet announced the release of the song. The post contained the music poster with both artists dressed in their Bored Ape character.

The video which is a blend of different generations is a partial animation. The hip-hop stars occasionally transformed into the Bored Ape characters in the video. It is the duo’s first collaboration after about a year and a half of bad blood between them.

The viral video is now streaming on various platforms and it is also available for download. Both hip-hop legends are already familiar characters in the crypto space.

Earlier in April, Snoop Dogg alongside other industry legends became a major investor in MoonPay. MoonPay also created a Non-fungible Token marketplace in partnership with Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Records.

The songwriter has also planned to launch an NFT-themed restaurant. The songwriter also partners with the Sandbox metaverse game for its Alpa season 2.

Eminem became a member of the BAYC after he acquired his “EminApe” for $462,000. His NFT collections include Superlative Apes and several Lil Baby Doodles X.

BAYC announced a 2-day Merch drop for its community to celebrate the new song by the hip-hop duo. Starting today June 24, collectors can acquire the drops using ApeCoin. BAYC also advised its community to be wary of potential scams.

ApeFest, the largest NFT-themed event, is an annual event. It hosts individuals who own mutant and BAYC NFTs collections. Polygon sponsored this year’s event and it was powered by BAYC. Other featured celebrities are Lil Baby, Timbaland, Haim, Lil Wayne, and others.

BAYC, a creation of Yuga Labs is a collection of NFTs with each item built on the Ethereum blockchain and depicts an Ape with distinct traits. Launched in April 2021, It has made a total transaction volume of more than 939,373.58 ETH since inception per data from CoinMarketCap.
